Abstract
In our days, the oxidant reagents are becoming indispensable compounds for water and wastewater treatment processes. This paper reveals the importance, the role and place of oxidants in the systems for municipal or industrial wastewaters treatment. The main oxidants and experimental data examples regarding their efficiency are presented.
